Christmas is approaching and, as usual, companies are preparing to present their employees with a gift to show their gratitude for another year of hard work.
Despite the desire, imagination sometimes fails and the question inevitably arises: what to give employees for Christmas?
6 charitable Christmas presents to give to your employees
If you're in this limbo and still haven't found an answer to this question, REDUNIQ is here to help you with 6 Christmas gift ideas for employees that will not only be a simple thank you in the form of a present, but above all a way of helping those who need it most: solidarity Christmas gifts!
UNIBANCO Joy Card
We started this tour with the Christmas campaign in solidarity with the UNIBANCO Joy Card, a brand that, like REDUNIQ, belongs to the universe of UNICRE.
After having managed to donate more than 49,000 euros to the Gil Foundation at Christmas last year, the campaign Joy Gift Card is back from 1 November to 31 December to help bring joy to those who need it most.
In practice, you can offer your employees Alegria cards of five different values (15, 25, 50, 100 or 150 euros), which can be used to buy whatever your employee wants at the place they want.
Whichever card you offer, you'll be donating €2 so that the Gil Foundation can continue to help children and young people who are at clinical and social risk and who need a life project.
To multiply this help, the UNICRE will add another €2 to your contribution because, at REDUNIQ and UNIBANCO's "parent company", Christmas rhymes with solidarity.
AMI Solidarity Voucher
As it does every year, the AMI Christmas Mission is on the streets and in the online world collecting donations that will enable AMI to continue supporting Portuguese families in situations of social exclusion.
Among the various actions that the AMI Christmas Mission campaign includes, among others, the Christmas Basket (a basket of essential goods given to one of the more than 2,000 families supported by AMI), the Christmas Treats (1 Toy + 5 snacks = €10 to help a child or 1 Kit of hygiene goods + 5 snacks = €10 to help an elderly person) and the AMI Solidarity Voucher, which will allow you to make a donation to AMI on behalf of your employees.
Solidarity Christmas Fair 2022
Here, the gift of solidarity is to buy presents for your employees at the Solidarity Christmas Fair organised by the Volunteers of the Porto Regional Branch of the Portuguese League Against Cancer.
All the products on sale at the fair are affordable and the money raised will help the League's fight against cancer.
If you want to fill your employees' shoes with products from this fair, you should know that the Solidarity Christmas Fair 2022 will be held from 21 November to 1 December, every day of the week, including Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the IPO do Porto Palliative Care Unit.
CTT Solidarity Father Christmas
Make your employees "godparents" to a disadvantaged child by helping them fulfil their Christmas wishes.
In this initiative carried out by CTT in collaboration with Social Solidarity Institutions across the country, children up to the age of 12 helped by these institutions write letters to Father Christmas revealing the presents they would like to receive.
The godparents, in this case your employees, just have to choose one of the letters (available at www.painatalsolidario.pt), buy the gift the letter asks for and deliver it to a CTT shop.
Note that the gift must be new and correspond to the request that the child wrote or drew in the letter.
UNICEF Christmas Cards 2022
If you want to combine your company with the work that UNICEF does in defence of children around the world and at the same time offer your employees a charitable gift, UNICEF Christmas cards are an excellent idea.
With a unit price of 1.85 euros, these postcards can be personalised with the name of each employee, company logo or message.
The Dog Who Reads" book
To finalise this list of charitable Christmas gifts, we present an original gift with a slightly different charitable purpose to what we're used to.
As well as encouraging its employees' children to read, the proceeds from the sale of this children's book "O Cão que Leu", written by Heitor Lourenço and illustrated by Simone Nico, will go in favour of the Associação Animais de Rua.
