It can even have a negative impact on your physical and mental health. That's why it's important to know how to deal with stress at work and to switch off so as not to jeopardise your well-being. REDUNIQ will help you!

Get rid of stress in just a few steps

1. Stay organised

Much of the stress at work comes from disorganisation. You've probably lost count of the times you've forgotten to do a task and/or had to complete it in a third of the usual time because the due date was earlier than you expected. And, as the old saying goes, "fast and well, there's little who!".

To avoid these situations of pressure and stress at work, start the week by organising your diary. Every Monday morning, or Sunday evening if you prefer, write down all the tasks, events and commitments you'll have that week.

Assign priorities to each task and identify the most urgent ones in a different colour, for example, so that you have a clearer picture of what you have to do and by when.

2. Put negativity aside

Starting the week with negative thoughts won't help you combat stress at work. Quite the opposite! You'll feel tired, demotivated and have high levels of anxiety long before you start work.

Even in less good times, have a positive outlook and focus on finding the best solution to your problems.

In these cases, it's important to stay motivated and help colleagues or employees not to lose heart. Remember: demotivation breeds demotivation.

3. Take breaks and rest properly

Taking breaks during the day is essential for dealing with stress at work. In a moment of pressure, the solution is often to stop and clear your head, and then come back with more energy and clarity.

Knowing how to stop is important for maintaining your mental and even physical health. When you feel you're under a lot of stress and pressure, take a break. Have a snack, hydrate yourself, breathe fresh air and chat to your colleagues.

Ideally, you should take 15-minute breaks in the morning and afternoon, in addition to your lunch or dinner breaks.

4. Free yourself from stress

To release the stress that has built up inside you, keep anti-stress objects handy. These could be a ball, a sketchbook or a portable massager.

You can also listen to music or any other activity that will help relieve the tension you feel immediately and divert your attention from the problem.

In some organisations, the practice of mindfulness is becoming increasingly common in order to help employees free themselves from work stress and pressure, to help them achieve mindfulness and to focus more easily on their tasks.
